At Ludwell, we have beautiful grounds and the children make full use of our beautiful environment every day. Children have gardening sessions, Forest School sessions, sports lessons, art lessons and design and technology lessons outside. We also go outside at break time and lunch time whatever the weather (unless it is unsafe to do so). This means that, even if it is very wet, we still get to let off some steam and get some fresh air. We believe that there is not poor weather- only unsuitable clothing!
Children at Ludwell have a childhood where they can explore, make mud pies, build dens and be creative in their outside environment. We have a thriving Eco- Committee and they work with all children to help them to understand the importance of looking after our immediate environment and the planet as a whole. You will often see children outside tending to our school pond, making bird feeders, creating bug hotels and planting flowers and plants.
