Ludwell has a well- stocked and productive school garden which provides food for the kitchen throughout the year.

Seasonal vegetables from the garden used by the kitchen include potatoes, tomatoes, tasty greens, salad (all year round), cabbage, leeks, onions, squash and pumpkins. There are always a bowls of fresh fruit available to the children dotted around their classrooms and in the kitchen during Breakfast Club, After School Club and during the Snack Café. The apples, pears and plums come from local orchards.  The tomatoes and berries, which ripen over the summer holidays, are frozen and stored for the following year to keep us ticking over for the off-season.

All our meals are cooked on- site and include a wide range of healthy and delicious food from a variety of cuisines. There is always a salad bar available and the puddings are totally yummy!

Breakfast Club offers a calm start to the day and a hearty breakfast. There is a wide range of cereals and toast with a variety of toppings available alongside milk, juice or water.

After School Club is great fun and provides a hot or cold snack such a beans on toast, sandwiches or pasta.

We also run a Snack Café during morning break where children are able to purchase toast, breadsticks, fruit and other healthy snacks for 20p per day.

There is no charge for Pupil Premium children for Breakfast Club, After School Club or the Snack Café.
